WHAT SHOULD I BUILD?
Build something that moves people. That’s it. Make us laugh or make us curious. Make us think or make us productive. Build a product, a service, a tool, a song, or a film. Anything you can ship in a week. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to hit.

How IT WORKS
STEP 1
Join the Beta & Register

To participate in the hackathon you must follow two steps, simply click the Join Beta button on the top right of the screen. We will then send you an invite code. Then Register for the the hackathon.

STEP 2
Prepare your project

Get to work! Find a project you want to work on an submit it before the deadline. One project per person. See the rules below.

STEP 3
Submit

Sign into B150 and add the “Vibeathon” community on the Feed page, then post your project under the category you would like to submit t to, whether it’s coding, design, filmmaking, music, or more. That’s it. Follow this tutorial. Submissions will be accepted any time from now until TBD

STEP 4
Win prizes!

Once you have followed the instructions, submit your project and you will be eligible to win some amazing prizes. Winners will be announced TBD.

What to create
Build something new that makes people feel something.

Make us laugh. Make us curious. Make us text it to a friend.

You can create a:

  • Short film or cinematic experience
  • AI-generated music track
  • Experimental visual design
  • Creative marketing automation
  • Game, website, or interactive experience

Whatever it is, start fresh during the Vibeathon. No recycled projects.

SUBMISSIONS
How to submit

Follow these steps carefully and watch the tutorial:

  1. Go to the Feed page on B150 and click the giant + icon on the top left.
  2. Add the “Vibeathon” community
  3. Create a Post and select the Vibeathon Community and Category/Topic you are entering in.
  4. Include a live link (demo, prototype, or site), an explanation and any other assets you would like to include.
  5. Post to the community. That's it.
Judging Criteria
How the judging will work

Final scores will be a combination of Judge Scores (70%) and Community Score (30%).

1. Potential Impact (25% of total score)
• Does it solve a meaningful problem or open up new creative possibilities?
• Could it reach or inspire a lot of people?
• How viral, useful, or emotionally resonant is it?

2. Originality & Creativity (25% of total score)
• Is the concept fresh, bold, or inventive?
• Does it stand out from what’s already out there?
• Does it feel like something only this person/team could have made?

3. Execution & Technical Craft (25% of total score)
• Is the build functional, polished, and technically sound?
• Does it make clever use of AI tools or workflows?
• How thoughtful is the structure, flow, and depth of the project?

4. Design & User Experience (25% of total score)
• Is the design clean, intentional, and accessible?
• Does the experience feel cohesive, delightful, or intuitive?
• How well does it balance form and function?

RULES
Rules

Original work only

  • Projects must be created during the hackathon.
  • You can use existing components, tools, or ideas, but the final project must be new.

Team size

  • Solo or teams of up to four people.

Categories

  • One submission per person.
  • If you are part of a team, you may only submit once and must choose one primary category:
    • Vibe coding
    • Vibe filmmaking
    • Vibe music
    • Vibe marketing
    • Vibe gaming
  • Projects that cross vibes are welcome; just pick the main one.

Submission format

  • Upload your project (website, video, image, etc.).
  • Include a one-minute demo or explainer video.
  • Submissions cannot require an email or login password. Judges need immediate access to review your work.
  • If access creates a security concern, submit a short video walkthrough demonstrating the application instead.

Marketing and filmmaking requirements

  • Submissions in Marketing and Filmmaking must use Freepik and n8n.
  • You do not need to use them in every part of the submission.

Use of AI and tools

  • Encouraged.
  • Be transparent about what tools you used.

Disqualifications

  • Plagiarism or submitting old projects.
  • Offensive or harmful content.

Deadline

  • All submissions are due by Jan 16th, 11:59 PM PT.
